You can send email reports of your dashboards in Dear Lucy, enabling you to get the latest sales insights delivered directly to your inbox at peak relevant times. This ensures that key stakeholders receive the analysis on a regular basis and eliminates any manual work needed to share Dear Lucy dashboards via email.
- Edit Dashboard: While on the dashboard that you'd like to share via email, click on Edit (the pen icon in the bottom-right corner) to access the edit dashboard view.
Email report settings: Press the Email icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard to enter the Email report settings.
- + Add New Schedule: Once you have entered the Email report settings, press the "+ Add new schedule" button on the top in order to configure your report. You can add multiple reports for a single dashboard which can be sent out at different times and/or to different recipients.
- Configure the Email report: You can select a title, a body text and the recipients, as well as define the schedule of the report (and the preferred time zone). You are also able to send the report straight away with the "Send now" button. The configuration is straight forward, but are a few required fields that need to be completed in the email report to avoid the emails being detected as spam:
- Email address: At least one email address needs to be added. Remember to press the "+" to ensure that the email address is added.
- Email subject: The email subject needs to be at least 5 characters long.
Email body: The email body needs to be at least 10 characters long.
- Define the schedule: You are able to choose between Daily, Weekly and Monthly schedules.
- Daily: If you select Daily reports, you only need to choose the time and the time zone for the email to be sent.
- Weekly: For weekly emails, select the day of the week as well as the time and time zone.
Monthly: Monthly email reports allows you to send the report on any given day of the month, as well as defining the time and time zone.
Save new schedule: Once you are happy with your set-up (you can review what the email will look like on the right-hand side of the screen) press the "Save new schedule" button to activate your Email report. You can go back and edit any of the fields of the report later on if any changes are needed.
Review all of your Email Reports:
That's it, and the Email report has now been configured and will be activated from your account. Please note that an email report might be taken a few seconds later than the scheduled time.
If you have set-up many Email reports from various dashboards you're able to review and edit all of them from a single view from the Settings Menu. Go to Users, under which you can see Email reporting.
Once in Email reporting, you will find a list of all the Email reports. The list shows you the name of the report, which dashboard it is sending, the schedule, the number of recipients as well as who created the report. You are also able to edit or delete the report directly from this view.
